Program Code: SS190
The Criminal Justice Professional degree is designed to meet the training objectives for employment in both the Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement areas. This degree is more rigorous than the basic Criminal Justice Studies degree. This degree also has the benefit of matching the requirements of the Associate of Arts degree, therefore giving students the added benefit of transferring to a four-year university to continue their education.

General Education Requirements (Must include the following): 37 Semester Hours
Communications: (9 hours)
Social Sciences: (9 hours) two areas
Humanities/Fine Arts: (9 hours)
(3 hours Humanities, 3 hours Fine Arts, 3 hours in either) Physical/Life Sciences: (7 hours)
(Must include one physical and one life science course) Major Core Requirements: 21 Semester Hours
Open Electives: 6 Semester Hours
5-6 hours additional from AA Transfer List
(Dependent upon whether a 3 or 4 credit hour science course has been taken) Total Required Hours: 64 Semester Hours
