Every business and nonprofit organization values an employee who has a working knowledge of all of the disciplines of the business operation.  An efficiently run business relies on the graduate to be able to manage an office, direct a production line, supervise and train employees, and market its products.  Business Administration is a general degree covering a variety of business disciplines.  Graduates will become familiar with accounting, economics, business law, management, finance, marketing, and computer applications.  A degree in Business Administration prepares the graduate to become a creative, problem solver.

This degree is intended primarily for students currently planning to continue their business education by pursuing a bachelor’s degree.

General Education Requirements: 28 Semester Hours


Take 28 credit hours from the following groups:

Group I: Communications  - Take

  , and   for a total of 9 credit hours in this category.

Group II: Social and Behavioral Sciences  - Take

  and  , and one additional course from this category for a total of 9 credit hours in this category.  Students planning to transfer to a four-year institution should choose an IAI Social and Behavioral Sciences course.

Group III: Humanities and Fine Arts  - Take a minimum of 3 credits hours in this category. Students planning to transfer to a four-year institution should choose an IAI Humanities and Fine Arts course.

Group IV: Math/Sciences  - Take one course from Math, and one course from Sciences for a total of 7 credit hours in this category. Students planning to transfer to a four-year institution should choose one IAI MATH and one IAI Science course.
