Program Code: FA031
The Graphic Design Certificate program at Joliet Junior College is designed to enhance a student’s visual and technological skills for the workplace. Graphic design exists as a secondary skill in many workplaces. For example, a secretary may be asked to design brochures on a regular basis for her employer. The certificate program is designed to offer a series of courses in Graphic Design. All students in the certificate program will develop a use for further employment or as enhancement of their current employment. All courses within the certificate program can be applied to the Graphic Design Associate in Applied Science degree program. The certificate is less comprehensive than a full Associate of Applied Science and is targeted to those who are looking to learn new skills or upgrade their skills in the workplace. The Certificate has a more technological base but still retains training in the aesthetic aspects of Graphic Design.
