The Management Information Systems CAC at JJC prepares students for an outstanding career in Management Information Systems (MIS). MIS professionals collect and analyze data in various formats. The field of management information systems involves applying computer technology, quantitative techniques, and administrative skills to the information processing requirements of organizations. MIS combines computer technology with management decision-making methods to analyze, design, implement, and manage computerized information systems in an organizational environment.

This Certificate program provides extensive hands-on experience in Microsoft Office applications. The capstone course of the degree (CIS 235) offers the opportunity to prepare for the Microsoft Office Specialist certifications and earn an Associate designation from Microsoft. A new Expert Certification will be added to the curriculum. This highly recognized certification is sought after by companies and corporations. As with any technical career, continual update of skills is highly encouraged. In addition, we encourage students to continue the educational development by continuing with their education after graduation from JJC.
