Baking and Pastry, Certificate of Completion 

  • This certificate offers many hands-on courses, including:

    • two of the core baking and pastry lab courses (also required for the culinary arts associate degree and the food preparation certificate of completion) 

    • a food service sanitation manager certification course 

    • choose from three specialized pastry and baking courses  

  • Since you can choose different pastry and baking courses to take, the certificate can be tailored to meet your specific interests, skills, and career objectives  

  • This certificate can help you reach these types of careers:  

    • pastry cook 

    • baker 

    • pastry chef 

    • wedding cake designer 

    • bakery or patisserie owner/operator 

    • a chef who also wants to have a strong background in pastry and baking

Baking and Pastry Customizable Concentrations: 9 Semester Hours


Students will work with their program advisor to customize baking and pastry course selections based on their educational goals. Students will select 9 credit hours from the following concentrations:
