The Associate of Applied Science in Marketing program is designed and continually updated to reflect the constant changes in the business world. This program provides the individual with the education and training necessary for employment in the field of marketing or as a foundation to pursue additional study in marketing. The marketing student will learn a variety of marketing-related disciplines, including e-commerce, retailing, professional sales and advertising. This program also prepares the student to further his or her marketing education at several different four-year institutions.
The marketing coursework prepares students for initial positions and opportunities such as retail sales, business-to-business sales, or various entry-level marketing and public relations positions within small to large-sized companies, government agencies, or non-profit organizations. A graduate of the Marketing program will be able to customize coursework by concentrating on additional business courses in accounting, management or business law. The business internship courses will help the graduate discover careers in suitable industries.
