Program Code: AG035
Students pursuing this degree will specialize in production, management and design in the following areas: Floral Design and Interior Plantscaping, Greenhouse Management, Turfgrass Management, Nursery Production and Arboriculture - Urban Forestry. Students take 16 hours general education requirements as required for all AAS degrees. Students will take 32 hours of core required horticulture courses that will give them a well-rounded background in plant science, pest management and sustainability techniques and practices. Students can then tailor their degree by taking 20 hours of courses specific to their field of interest.

Students choose 20 credit hours from any recommended course listed below in their area of concentration and/or any course in HORT - selected with Advisor’s approval.

Greenhouse Production and Management Concentration: Choose 20 semester hours
Nursery Production and Management Concentrataion: Choose 20 semester hours
Turfgrass Production and Management Concentration: Choose 20 semester hours
