PCIT 241 - Industrial Data Communications: Serial Standards

This course covers serial communications standards that are the basis of most installed industrial networks. Topics include an examination of proprietary protocols such as Modicon Modbus and Allen Bradley Data Highway Plus. Also covered is Ethernet in industrial applications, and diagnosis and troubleshooting of Ethernet networks using Windows NT diagnostic tools. Prerequisite(s): PCIT 221 or consent of department
