RADT 101 - Fundamentals of RadiologyLecture - Lab - Credit Hours: 4-5-5 This course provides an orientation to the roles of the medical radiographer. Radiation protection of technologists, patients and others is discussed. Basic principles of exposure and darkroom processing are presented. Patient care skills are introduced. Energized laboratory sessions provide an introduction to diagnostic imaging equipment, positioning and film critique. Simulated experiences are planned to provide opportunities to apply principles learned. Prerequisite: Acceptance to the A.A.S. program in Radiologic Technology.
Corequisite: RADT 100 .
Concurrent: BIO 100 and PSYC 101 .
