WLDG 120 - SMAW II - Vertical and Overhead

Lecture - Lab - Credit Hours: 2-2-3
A course in Shielded Metal Arc Welding in the vertical and overhead positions which emphasizes safety, fundamentals of the processes, equipment, and techniques involved with welding mild steel.  AWS welder qualification is offered in the 3G, and 4G positions on mild steel with backing strip.Prerequisite:   with a minimum grade of C.
