The Breads/Cakes Certificate of Completion offers a wide variety of technical and practical techniques related to the baking of breads and cakes. Students interested in pursuing a career as a pastry chef, baker, or cake decorator are ideal candidates for this certificate of completion. In the bread courses, students will learn straight doughs, sourdoughs, mixing, shaping, baking, service, and storage of a wide variety of breads. The cake course will cover cake mixing techniques, baking, storage, a variety of icings and elaborate decorating skills.
