The Network, Cyber Security, and Development Advanced Level, Certificate of Completion helps prepare students for the vital needs of the Network Security.  This certificate allows students the opportunity to complete coursework recognized by the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) and the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS).  The United States Department of Defense has certified the Cisco CCNA Security, Cisco CCNP Security, and Cisco Cybersecurity Specialist (SCYBER) Certifications as DoD 8570.01-M compliant.

The program validates the day-today, tactical knowledge, and skills that Security Operations Center (SOC) teams need to detect and respond to cybersecurity threats. The certificate aligns with the fundamentals needed for associate-level job roles. The training covers knowledge and skills related to security concepts, security monitoring, host-based analysis, network intrusion analysis, and security policies and procedures and open-source programming.  Students learn to develop a security infrastructure, recognize threats and vulnerabilities to networks, and mitigate security threats. This certificate is a stackable credential within the CO238- Information Networking-Technology AAS degree.

The certificate helps prepare students for the vital needs of the global workforce for Information Technolgy networking, cybersecurity, and open-source development careers.  Courses are offered as part of the Cisco Networking Academy a world leader in cybersecurity as well as the Linux Professional Institute.

Certifications earned through this program are recognized world-wide. The certificate is also part of the Information Technology-Networking A.A.S. degree which allows students to earn credit hours towards the advancement of the A.A.S. degree while completing the coursework.
