NA 120 - Phlebotomy Technician Training

This course is designed to prepare the student in routine phlebotomy techniques for obtaining blood specimens for laboratory analysis. Format of lecture/lab includes venipuncture techniques, phlebotomy equipment, micro-puncture techniques, infection control, patient identification and labeling of blood specimens. Due to the popularity of these courses, a closed registration system has been developed. To be considered for this program, students must complete and submit a program application by the due date, which varies depending on the semester of interest. Based on seat availability, students will be selected by a random lottery.
