MFG 160 - Basic DiemakingCredit Hours 4 Lecture: 2 Lab: 4 MFG 160 covers the fundamental theory and hands-on study of basic tool and die-making including punch press sizes, principles of blanking and piercing dies, punches, pilots, die life, and their uses and relationship to each other. The student will apply these principles of die components in a hands-on practicum by dismantling and reassembling dies in the machine tool laboratory. Prerequisite(s): MFG 104 and CADD 101 .
