MFG 165 - Basic Diemaking IICredit Hours 4 Lecture: 2 Lab: 4 This course is designed as a theory and hands-on concurrent curriculum of MFG 160 (Basic Diemaking I). It will cover the fundamental theory and hands-on study of basic tool and die making including punch plates, punches and dies assembly and lineup, pilots, die-block construction, strippers, stock guides, shedders, knockouts, stock pushers, die stops, stock layout, and related topics. The student will apply these principles of die components in a hands-on practicum by building a functioning die in the machine tool laboratory.
