VET 110 - Small Animal Nursing ICredit Hours 3.5 Lecture: 2 Lab: 3 Students will develop skills in handling, restraint, and other nursing techniques for dogs and cats. Emphasis will be on obtaining medical history, record keeping, performing physical exams, administering tablets, liquid and injectable medications, diagnostic procedures, and providing client education information. Diagnostic procedures will include those common in small animal practice: blood pressure and cardiac monitoring, ophthalmic, aural, and dermatologic assessments. Prerequisite(s): Admission into the Veterinary Medical Technology program Is course repeatable for credit?
