VET 120 - Small Animal Nursing IICredit Hours 2 Lecture: 1 Lab: 2 This course is a continuation of small animal patient care and treatment. It includes techniques, equipment, client education, management of the hospitalized patient, and preventative medicine. Emphasis will be on the role of the veterinary technician in the veterinary setting including performance of veterinary nursing techniques such as venipuncture, bandaging and wound care, indwelling catheters, urine collection, fluid therapy, and gastric intubation.
